Sky’s the Limit: Manna Air Delivery Launches First Commercial Drone Flights in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Manna Air Delivery officially inaugurated its first commercial drone delivery service in Oklahoma on Wednesday, marking a major milestone for Tulsa’s growing reputation as an advanced air mobility and technology hub. Operating out of its newly established launch site near 15th Street and Utica Avenue in the Cherry Street district, the Irish-based drone operator is now delivering meals, coffee, and everyday essentials directly to local backyards and drop zones.
During a live demonstration flight at the launch, Manna representatives showed how local orders are packed and loaded onto autonomous aircraft. The drone ascends to a cruising altitude of about 200 feet before traveling to the customer's address. Once overhead, it hovers at approximately 50 feet and uses a tether system to gently lower the package to the ground.
From loading to drop-off, Manna reports that deliveries can take as little as three minutes.
Local Business Buy-In
Several staple Cherry Street and Midtown businesses have signed on as early partners, including Andolini’s Pizzeria, Paréa Coffee, Sapori, and Firefly Brew.
Local shop owners expressed enthusiasm for the service as a fast, cost-effective alternative to traditional third-party app delivery services.
"Many more businesses will join us in the next couple of weeks and months," said Terri O’Keeffe, Director of Corporate Affairs for Manna. "So far, we've received an amazing welcome from the people of the Tulsa Metro area."
Initial Reach & Future Expansion
At launch, Manna’s service is available to eligible residential and commercial addresses within a 2-mile radius of the Cherry Street hub. Tulsans can download the Manna app, input their address to verify coverage, select a precise landing spot on their property, and track their order's flight path in real time.
While flights will run on a limited schedule initially, the company plans to scale operations up to 12 hours a day, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The launch is part of a much broader strategy. Manna selected Tulsa as its primary central operational and U.S. manufacturing base, citing Oklahoma's aerospace infrastructure and the city's investment in autonomous technologies. Over the next three years, Manna plans to establish 20 to 30 drone hubs across the Tulsa metro area and Broken Arrow, bringing an estimated 1,000 jobs in flight operations, maintenance, customer support, and manufacturing to the region.
